Fans of Suits, rejoice! The long-awaited announcement has finally arrived. The actor who portrayed Harvey Specter in Suits, Gabriel Macht, is returning to the role as of right now, according to confirmation.
In the new spin-off Suits: LA, Macht, who also acted as executive producer over the entire series, will reprise his role as the attractive lawyer.
For the first eight seasons of the courtroom drama, the actor co-starred; however, once Patrick J. Adams and Meghan Markle left, the actor became the show’s single lead for the final season.
When we last saw the dapper professional, he was leaving the law office that serves as the basis for the program and walking out into the sunset with Sarah Rafferty’s Donna to join Patrick J Adams, often known as Mike, in Seattle.
Additionally, it has now been revealed that Macht’s character will appear in the spin-off, which was commissioned following the Netflix series’ second life.
Harvey, who stars Stephen Amell, will appear on the program for a three-episode storyline in a limited role.
Concerning his comeback, Deadline reports that “Macht’s stint is a guest arc and is not a precursor to him potentially joining Suits LA full-time.”
Harvey will be brought to the program through Ted Black, Amell’s protagonist, who is a former prosecutor, according to Deadline.
Similar to Macht’s Specter, he began his career as a criminal prosecutor before transitioning toward corporate law.
Macht’s Instagram post of the video below, along with the message, “When an old friend is in need…it’s time to take care of things and make those very ‘things’ right,” serves as confirmation of this.
The opening theme of the show, which many Netflix bingers will recognize, is played in the video. With 57.7 billion minutes of streamer viewing in 2023, Suits set a new record.
Nearly five years after the original show’s conclusion, the spin-off was announced since it was the most watched show on Netflix in a single year. The spin-off Suits: LA summary from Deadline says:
Ted Black (Amell), a former federal prosecutor from New York who has reinvented himself by defending the most influential clients in Los Angeles, is the main character in Suits: L.A.
“His company is in disaster, and he has to accept a role he detested throughout his career in order to survive.
“The circle of personalities that surround Ted test their allegiance to Ted and to one another, and they are unable to avoid blending their personal and professional lives.
“All this happens while the show slowly unravels the events that years ago led Ted to leave behind everything and everyone he loved to start all over.”
