The Prescott family is becoming involved in Scream 7. The daughter of Neve Campbell’s Sidney Prescott will be introduced in the redesigned slasher series sequel.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Isabel May, an actress from the Yellowstone spinoffs 1883 and 1923, was cast in the part.
In the most recent version of the movie, Patrick Dempsey acknowledged that “there has been a conversation” about him playing Sidney’s husband, Mark Kincaid, again.
But his casting isn’t official. The actor said, “I’m waiting on the script,” on the October Today program. “I haven’t seen anything yet, so we’ll see what happens,” he said.
“There has been a conversation,” Patrick Dempsey says in reference to Scream 7’s discussions on Kincaid’s return.
In 2022’s Scream, which was a significant reimagining of the series, Campbell’s Sidney made his on-screen debut while jogging with a baby stroller and receiving a call from Dewey (David Arquette).
But viewers were not given a glimpse of her kid, who will presumably be an adult by the time Scream 7 rolls around.
May’s most well-known role was that of Elsa Dutton, the narrator and protagonist of the two Yellowstone prequel series.

Although her casting has not been finalized, Courteney Cox is also in discussions to return to her role as Gale Weathers.
After the studio fired Melissa Barrera, the franchise’s new lead star, for posting on social media about the Israel-Palestine conflict and Jenna Ortega left, Campbell returned to the spotlight.
Campbell famously skipped an appearance in 2023’s Scream VI, which was set in New York City, due to a pay dispute.

Which will be directed by Kevin Williamson, who wrote the scripts for Scream, Scream 2, and Scream 4. The release date of the following sequel is February 27, 2026.
