A month after One Direction member Liam Payne’s untimely death in Argentina, Simon Cowell has traveled to attend the singer’s burial.
Payne passed away on October 16 at the age of 31 following a fall from a hotel balcony on the third story in the Argentine capital, Buenos Aires.
Cowell wrote a heartfelt ode to Payne after his passing, calling him a “kind, funny, and talented” pop artist who “never forgot the fans.”
When Payne initially tried out for X Factor at the age of 14, the recording mogul got to know him.
“You never really know how you feel about someone until a moment like this happens,” Cowell wrote in his October homage to the star.
“Liam, I’m in complete despair.” Heartbroken. I also feel empty.
Right now, it’s so hard to put this into words. As I stepped outdoors today, I reflected about all of the moments we spent together.
In response to the hundreds of individuals who would constantly question me, I wanted to share with you what I always said.
“How is Liam?” I would also tell them that you were focused, kind, humorous, kind, considerate, talented, and modest.
And your passion for music. And your real affection for the fans. “This wasn’t your time,” I had to tell you when you were fourteen.
And we both agreed to get together once again. Numerous individuals would have given up. You didn’t. Within months of your return, everyone knew Liam.
You also never overlooked the fans. I saw how much time you spent with those who had expressed interest in meeting you. You were really concerned.
“You visited me last year.” For a meeting, no. only to sit and converse. We also talked about how much fun we had together in the past.
And you were so proud to be a father. I was reminded after you went that you were still the nice, gentle lad I had known all those years before.
“I have met your son, Bear,” he added. He has that sparkle in his eyes and your grin.
And he will be extremely proud of all that you have accomplished. and the way you did it.
“The five of you in the band have always seemed like brothers to me.” And I think you were after reading their words today.
And now, Liam, I can see how much of an impact you made on a lot of people. since you departed from us too soon.
Peace be with you, dear buddy. Additionally, your family has my love, prayers, and thoughts.

Along with a number of other celebrities, Harry Styles has also come for the funeral with his fellow members of One Direction.
In addition, Styles 30, Niall Horan 31, Zayn Malik 31, and Louis Tomlinson 32 were spotted entering the chapel for their first public gathering since their 2015 final performance.
The site of the funeral has been kept a secret, and locals were only made aware of it when ‘no parking’ signs were placed around the church.
In September, Payne traveled to Argentina to see his close buddy Rogelio ‘Roger’ Nores and former bandmate Niall Horan play.
At the time of the tragedy, he had stayed longer to renew his visa to reside in the United States.
