Sydney Sweeney says that after seeing her in an X-rated role, her father and grandfather left.

Although a lot of parents encourage their kids’ careers, there are undoubtedly some lines they won’t cross.

If you’ve seen Euphoria, you’re aware that it’s filled with strong topics like sex and drug use, which is why most people wouldn’t watch it with their parents.

However, what happens if your child becomes stardom? This was the predicament that Sydney Sweeney’s family was in.

Although Sweeney is currently a rising celebrity in Hollywood, her part in Euphoria comes with its own set of difficulties.

She portrays a character in the popular HBO series that features several sexual scenes. To get other jobs that were distinct from what viewers had seen her perform on the program, she even had to put in more effort.

“The ones that I have to fight for are usually the ones that I want that are different, like Reality,” Sweeney stated in an interview with Variety.

“I was required to try out for it. Like everyone else, I had to record myself and submit my audition. She continued by describing the difficulties she had during her White Lotus audition.

“White Lotus experienced the same thing. Since I did Euphoria, they didn’t believe I was suitable for White Lotus.

Like everyone else, I put myself on tape, went to White Lotus for an audition, and received a callback.

“I could get offered roles that are similar to the ones that I’ve played, but the ones that are different, the ones that surprise people that I do, are the ones that I usually have to fight for.”

Sweeney’s risqué sequences in Euphoria made it difficult for some of her family members to even watch the program, even if she had to persuade casting directors to see past her HBO part.

In an interview with Willie Geist on Sunday Today, Sweeney discussed her family’s reaction to her appearance on the show.

Her dad and other family members were taken by surprise, but her mother was more aware of the plot.

“My mom visited me on set at the time, so she knew the story and I talked to her a lot about it—my dad didn’t,” she said. Yes, I did not get my dad ready. Not at all.

As a result, her dad and a few other family members ended up watching the show without much notice. He was unaware of what was about to happen.

“I mean, how do you bring it up in conversation?” She made a joke. Additionally, I seldom discuss employment with my dad when we speak.

“We spoke as if we were father and daughter. Without telling me, he made the decision to see it with his parents.

As one may anticipate, not everyone stayed for the entire event. According to Sweeney, “my dad and my grandpa turned it off and walked out,”

However, my grandmother is a strong advocate for me. I’m a huge admirer of her. Actually, I make her an extra when I bring her to my various sets across the world.
