As condolences came in for the singer, My Chemical Romance drummer Bob Bryar was discovered dead at home at the age of 44.
No one had heard from the singer for more than three weeks when authorities in the US state of Tennessee found him on Wednesday, November 27.
When Animal Control arrived on the scene to remove two canines, they found the drummer’s dead corpse instead.
In 2004, Bryar became a member of the rock group My Chemical Romance. He performed with the group until 2010, when they released their highly regarded album, Black Parade.
The performer was also well-known for being hurt while on tour, including third-degree burns after getting too near to flames during a performance.
Bryar spent the latter years of his life working in real estate and volunteering at animal rescue facilities after quitting the music business entirely in 2014.
It is unclear what caused his death. Online tributes to the percussionist were overwhelming. “A generation’s beat has gone silent,” one person wrote.
“Although Bob Bryar, the former drummer for MCR, passed away too young at the age of 44, his beat will go on forever. Legends never really die.
“Rest in peace, Bob Bryar,” remarked another. I appreciate you being such a great drummer. “Thank you for being part of a team that made history in the heart of many people all around the world.”
“Very saddened and heartbroken to learn of Bob Bryar’s passing,” a third person commented heartily. “I grew up listening to My Chemical Romance, especially Black Parade.”
