While some fans claim that Taylor Swift shut down a highway in the city entirely, we’re informed that she only partly closed it.
Taylor Swift is also receiving a large police escort up in Canada. Here’s the thing: T-Swift is performing in Toronto as part of her “Eras” tour.
Yesterday, footage of the pop diva and her entourage receiving Justin Trudeau-style treatment in the city emerged, with police escorting her along an empty highway to her gig.
Police tell us that’s not precisely the case, but the action infuriated many city residents, who shared footage on social media criticizing Taylor for completely closing the roadway and creating traffic backups.
According to a Toronto Police Department representative who spoke to TMZ, the police escort is a component of the city’s broader security strategy since she has a sizable and engaged fan base and the protection is necessary for everyone’s safety.
Additionally, we were informed that TPD did not entirely block the roadway; rather, authorities used “rolling closures,” which, as we understand it, entails cutting off portions of the highway as cars pass.
In essence, individuals could drive on the highway, but not as quickly or at the same pace as Swift. Cars seem to be respectfully respecting her little protective bubble if you pay careful attention to the footage.
For the following four days, Taylor arrived at Rogers Centre, which also has a hotel connected. It is the home of Taylor Swift and the Toronto Blue Jays.
We’d assume that staying there with all of her followers swarming about would be a little risky. As you are aware, days after seeing Travis Kelce, Taylor gave her fans a fantastic performance in America’s neighbor to the north, sexily gyrating onstage.
