The CoHo film universe is welcoming Anne Hathaway. Colleen Hoover, the author of the terrifying novel Verity, stated on Instagram on November 20 that the Princess Diaries actress had been cast in the film version.
Michael Showalter, the director of The Big Sick, who starred Hathaway in 2024’s The Idea of You, another book-to-movie adaptation, will head the movie.
According to some sources, Hathaway will portray fictional novelist Verity Crawford in the Amazon MGM Studios film this time.
Following a strange catastrophe that prevents Verity from finishing her best-selling villain series, her husband Jeremy Crawford enlists aspiring writer Lowen Ashleigh to write the remaining novels.
However, Lowen discovers a number of Verity’s family secrets while studying the books, which causes her to doubt reality.
No other casting has been disclosed, including for the roles of Jeremy and Lowen.
Alongside Hathaway and Showalter, the Verity team also features screenwriter Nick Antosca, who wrote.

The story follows florist Lily Bloom (Lively) as she develops a turbulent relationship with neurosurgeon Ryle Kincaid (Baldoni).
Hoover said, “I started writing this book a decade ago,” on Instagram before to the debut of It Ends With Us. “Over the past decade, a lot has changed.
But you folks have consistently shown steadfast support. The book world is full of love, good intentions, cheerleading, and some of the best friends.
I’ve ever met, even though it is a little louder and more chaotic now. I can honestly say that I am amazed by how everyone turned up today. “Wow.”
