In his explanation of a new development in the “ultimatum” email that government employees received last week, Elon Musk has once again taken aim at them.
As previously reported, Musk, who is now in charge of President Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), justified his contentious email ultimatum that all government.
Workers must identify five achievements from the previous week or risk termination. If that wasn’t audacious enough, Musk has now disclosed the precise reason for his action.
President Trump gave Musk a mediocre evaluation on Truth Social, which prompted him to launch a crackdown on government personnel.
Trump expressed his admiration for the CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, but he also made it apparent that he wanted Musk to step up. “Elon is doing a fantastic job,
But I wish he would be more aggressive.” Remember, we have a nation to preserve, but ultimately, we have a nation to build better than before. On February 22, Trump wrote, “MAGA.”
Musk didn’t take long to reply. He announced his next course of action on X, previously Twitter, a few hours later. “Consistent with President @realDonaldTrump’s instructions,
All federal employees will shortly receive an email requesting to understand what they got done last week,” Musk tweeted. After that, Musk put down the hammer in typical form, saying,
“Failure to respond will be taken as a resignation.” He received criticism, of course, but Musk has now backed down and provided more information.
On X, he wrote: “The email request was completely pointless since all you had to do to pass the test was enter a few lines and hit send! However, many of them failed even that pointless exam,
Despite encouragement from their supervisors in certain situations. Have you ever seen such incompetence and disregard for the use of your taxes?
Enhances the appearance of old Twitter. didn’t believe it was feasible.” Shortly after, he replied to a post stating that any employees who do not reply.
To the email need to be let go. “Subject to the discretion of the President, they will be given another chance,” Musk stated in a tweet.
“You will be fired if you don’t reply a second time. Musk has quickly reduced the size of the government personnel since becoming leadership of DOGE.
In addition to freezing billions of dollars in government grants and international assistance, more than 20,000 federal workers have already been let go.
However, not everyone is complying. Employees in a number of federal departments, including the Departments of Defence, Homeland Security,
The email request was utterly trivial, as the standard for passing the test was to type some words and press send!
Yet so many failed even that inane test, urged on in some cases by their managers.
Have you ever witnessed such INCOMPETENCE and CONTEMPT for how YOUR TAXES are… https://t.co/QjSmY4ezpg

Commerce, Education, and Energy, have allegedly been told to completely disregard Musk’s order. And department heads aren’t the only ones resisting.
Tulsi Gabbard, Trump’s recently chosen Director of National Intelligence, made it plain that intelligence workers would not be following orders.
According to The New York Times, Gabbard said that “[intelligence community] employees should not respond to the OPM email given the inherently sensitive and classified nature of our work.”
Her position is in line with that of recently appointed FBI Director Kash Patel, who has likewise instructed his staff to ignore Musk’s request.
Patel said in a document that NBC News was able to obtain: “OPM may have sent an email to FBI staff asking for information.
All of our review processes are overseen by the FBI, via the Office of the Director, which will carry out evaluations in compliance with FBI protocols.
“We will coordinate the answers when and if further information is needed. Please suspend any answers for the time being.

On Monday, President Trump told reporters that he supported the email, stating: “What [Musk is] doing is saying, ‘Are you actually working?'”
Since many individuals aren’t responding since they don’t even exist, you’re either fired or kind of semi-fired if you don’t respond.”
