“The Walking Dead” star Glenn was chosen as the “saddest TV death ever.”

The famous voting website Ranker has drawn a lot of social media users who want to express their opinions on a poll called “The Saddest Television Deaths Ever.”

And after the most heated game of Eeny, Meeny, Miny, Moe in history, Glenn Rhee, played by the gifted Steven Yeun, took first place with 4 million votes from over 240,000 Ranker users.

Glenn made his television debut in the AMC series premiere of The Walking Dead. His persona, a savvy and sympathetic ex-pizza delivery man, immediately won over fans.

As they made their way across the perilous world overrun by flesh-hungry zombies, fans were won over by Glenn’s comedy, unflinching bravery.

And undying optimism in the dystopian series, his bond with Maggie (played by Lauren Cohan) was a ray of hope.

Although Glenn had several near-misses throughout his time on the program, the Season 7 opener was the one that left viewers stunned, distraught, and incredulous.

The ‘The Day Will Come When You Won’t Be’ episode began with one of the most horrific and devastating sights ever seen on television.

Glenn, Rick, and their companions have been taken prisoner by Negan, the dangerous leader of the Saviors.

Negan chose to set an example for the group by using Lucille, his baseball bat coated in barbed wire, to demonstrate to Rick’s gang who was now in command.

He was playing a perverse game of “eeny, meeny, miny, moe,” and the tension in the room was evident. However, Abraham was ultimately the one who was hit by Negan’s blow.

Fans undoubtedly mourned old Abe, but what really broke their hearts was the unexpected moment when Negan betrayed Glenn.

The ensuing violence was a heartbreaking emotional rollercoaster in addition to a horrifying visual display. Negan continued his relentless and vicious bludgeoning of Glenn.

Viewers saw the cherished character’s dying gasps and eerie last words: “Maggie, I’ll find you.” The camera didn’t flinch. Fans were moved to tears by the visceral effect.

Fans who were devastated by the death of a figure who had been a vital part of their lives took to social media in droves.

Steven Yeun received praise for his superb performance as Glenn, and his disappearance created an unfillable vacuum.

The show’s characters were also greatly impacted by Glenn’s passing. Glenn’s wife, Maggie, had to deal with the terrible death of her husband.

In later seasons, her sorrow and will to preserve Glenn’s memory emerged as a major topic. However, what was the second-place finish? That would be Game of Thrones’ Hodor, then.

Hodor, the kind giant with a terrible background, died while guarding the door to keep Bran Stark and Meera.

Reed safe from the unrelenting assault of White Walkers in a heartbreaking scene that reverberated across the Seven Kingdoms.

Viewers saw the moment that Hodor’s fate was revealed, illuminating the depth of his steadfast devotion and the sad beginning of his famous catchphrase.

Opie Wilson from Sons of Anarchy came in third, Lady the Direwolf from Game of Thrones came in fourth, and Hershel Greene, another Walking Dead character, came in fifth.

Thus, while we pay tribute to Glenn Rhee and acknowledge his status as the “Saddest TV Death Ever,” let’s also commemorate the lasting influence of a figure who showed us that kindness.

Courage, and hope can triumph over evil, even in a world overrun by zombies. Even though Glenn is no longer with us, we will always remember him.
