After losing to Katie Taylor in a historic fight on Friday night at the Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul event, boxer Amanda Serrano shared a sly photo of the massive cut above her eye.
In addition to the difficult-to-look photo, she said, “I will always give it my all for my fans.” Katie is my friend and I’m a vicious warrior, but my goodness, her greatest quality is her brain. Hard ass head but little punching strength, haha.
Amanda suffered a terrible wound when she lost to Katie by a unanimous score of 95-94.
The win was somewhat contentious because of the large cut that resulted from an unintentional headbutt in the sixth round.
As each round went on, Katie’s punches continued to reopen the wound, presumably widening the gash.
Amanda tweeted, “I landed 107 more punches, she got a point deducted and I lost 95-94 lmfao,” as if she was also rather surprised by her defeat the previous evening.
There were many applause for Katie’s victory, but there were also many jeers. Nevertheless, after the disappointing Tyson-Paul fight, the general judgment on X was that the contest was the most enjoyable of the evening.
By the way, according to Jake, Amanda won last night, but the judges clearly disagreed. 🤷♂️
